Dog-Friendly Holiday Accommodation

Scotland Travel Blog September, 2020

Are you planning a pet-friendly trip?

Dogs are a part of the family; there is no arguing that fact. This is why we offer a range of beautiful and unique holiday accommodation for you and your four-legged friends.

A dog-friendly cottage needs to be one where both you and your pet will be able to relax, leave your usual routine behind and spend quality time as a family. Dogs are all unique in their size and levels of energy, so when looking at our cottages, you should consider a few things before choosing:

  • Size: does the property have enough space for you and your dog to be comfortable.
  • Outdoor space: if your dog is full of energy and loves to run and play, consider looking for a property with a garden or outdoor space they can enjoy.
  • What's around: if your aim to have lots of fun with your pets then perhaps look at the surrounding areas, some properties are close to lakes and rivers which means going for a swim is as easy as a short walk.
  • Amenities: we love our dogs, but they can be messy; most of our properties include washing facilities and amenities such as hoovers to make sure you can keep yourselves and the cottages neat and tidy.

The locations of our cottages are ideal for dog owners. Discover Scotland, its countryside, villages and towns, visiting the pet-friendly beaches, attractions and pubs in the area. Not to mention the stunning scenery and walks that are guaranteed to tire out your pooch and let you see some of the most spectacular parts of the country.

Why spend the money, time and stress on holidays abroad when you can vacation close to home and still have an unforgettable trip with your entire family. Staycations are becoming the new norm, to read more about what they offer, that regular holidays don't, take a look at our blog post about it.

All of our rental properties are kept at the highest standard by owners who love them. This is why, when you bring a furry friend with you, we ask that you love the place as much as they do and treat it with respect.

Some general tips for this are:

  • Keeping your pets off the furniture
  • Exercise your pets while exploring Scotland or an enclosed garden when possible
  • Try to remove any pet hair from the carpets before leaving
  • Not leaving your pets unattended in the properties

So, forget the kennels, take a look at our selection of pet-friendly holiday cottages and start planning the next trip for the entire family.
