Stag's Hide is situated just south of Aviemore on the Cairngorm National Park, Highlands. The Hide dates back to 1909 and was built for the gamekeeper of Kinrara Estate but has recently been refurbished to a luxurious standard. It is surrounded by amazing woodland and grazing pasture with wildlife as your neighbours such as pheasants, squirrels and Red Deer frolicking nearby.
The interior has been designed with a Scandinavian style, wood and natural textiles and you will be able to return from your explorations of the area to the warm glow of a log burning stove in the open plan living, dining and kitchen area.
Although compact, the cottage offers everything a family or small croup could need. Two luxury double bedrooms, with kingsize beds, one of which is a super kingsize and can be separated into twin beds. Both bedrooms have double aspect windows and Smart TVs. A contemporary wet room with rainfall shower and a heated storage cupboard for any outdoor clothing.
If you want to stay connected the cottage comes fully equipped with Smart TVs and free Wi-Fi or you could relax in the hot tub with a glass of your favourite tipple and take in the amazing surroundings away of the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The kitchen is stylish and fully equipped with everything you need with the open plan living your chief cook can stay connected with the rest of the party.
Car parking is easy right next to Stag's Hide and the Kinrara distillery is just a short walk away with local breweries and distilleries within a few minutes drive to get a taste of Scotland
Aviemore is just along the road with all the shops you may need for supplies as well as plenty of bars, cafe's and restaurants for your holiday.
For the more adventurous why not go Zip Trecking through the pine forests at the Alvie Estate Adventure Park or quad biking through the woods at Rothiemurchas.
Aviemore is a well know and popular destination with beautiful scenery and an abundance of things to do for all ages. It is close proximity to the secluded lochs and beaches, ancient forest, mountain trails and ski runs of the surrounding parkland. Enchanting forests and cycle trails and the area is popular with winter sports enthusiasts due to its close proximity to the Cairngorm Mountains.
The Highland Wildlife Part is not far south from Kinrara and is a very popular with all families. You will see a variety of animals from Scottish Wildlife to Mountain and Tundra.
This is an amazing area full of activity for those looking for adventure or if you are just looking to relax in peace and quiet there are many places that you can enjoy.
Stag's Hide is strictly a none smoking property.
Dogs are welcome to stay (1 dog policy) £25 charge per stay, but please be respectful and don't allow them on the furniture, let them enjoy the garden and be sure to clean up after them. There are lots of great walks in the area and we want your pooches to enjoy their holiday too.
The hot tub will be checked 3x weekly and grass is cut weekly, therefore you may see our maintenance people at some point during your stay.
May we ask that when you leave you do the following for COVID clean compliance;
Please leave all crockery in the dishwasher and turn on when you leave.
Please also put all linen and towels in bags provided when you leave.
A cot and high chair are avaliable for your our infant guests, but you must supply your own linen for the cot.
Check in : Our housekeeping team work hard to ensure the highest of standards, so check in time is 4pm, unless previousely arranged to enter the property earlier.
Cancellation Terms : 8 weeks or less to arrival date 50% not refunded, 4 weeks or less to arrival 100% not refunded.
Finally can we ask that you ensure you use the correct bins, which are clearly marked.
