Newtonmore is a pretty village just 16 miles from Aviemore and just 27 miles from Inverness and Loch Ness.  The cottage has fantastic walking and biking trails right on the doorstep with Wolftrax biking close by, the Highland Folk Museum at the edge of the village and the Newtonmore wild cat hiking trail at the end of the road.

The village also benefits from its own golf course, swimming pool and tennis courts, as well as some local shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs all within walking distance.  Catch a game of shinty on a Saturday or pop to Dalwhinnie distillery,  only 11 miles away, for a dram or two.

Further afield, but still within easy reach, are activities like the Highland Wildlife Park, why not see the polar bear and how the park is helping conservation efforts.  Loch Insh, known for its water sports activities is also very close as is Loch Morlich with its sandy shores.  If a family adventure is on the cards then Landmark Adventure Park is always a family favourite and of course, for the more adventurous, the ski slopes at Cairngorm, the Munros of the Monadliath and mountain biking trails at Laggan are all close at hand or you could go zip lining with G2 Outdoor.

Broom Cottage is a non smoking property.

Well behaved and toilet trained dogs (one per stay) are welcome but please keep them off the furniture, out of the bedrooms and don't leave them in the property on their own.

The stairs are steep (with a handrail) and the cottage has low doorways and sloping ceilings upstairs. Please take this into consideration when booking. 

There is a travel cot, bed guard, changing mat, stairgate and highchair for your use in the cottage.  Please leave as you would expect to find them.
